It is the only charity of its kind in the local area. The Association's services are provided by unpaid volunteers who are either people who are recovering from mental problems, or friends or relatives of such people. This is consistent with the philosophy of self help. The expenses of running Station House, Wokingham are met by its own fundraising efforts.
